I got this from the library because my husband wanted to see it. I didn't realize it was rated R until Mike told me but I have to admit that it seemed less offensive than Juno which was rated PG-13. I think that violence gets a harsher rater for some reason over raciness. Anyway, there is a lot of violence but it was a really interesting story. It's not action all the time, just a real interesting look into the Middle East.

I guess I'm a little surprised that a library would have rated R movies--but maybe not. I don't know.
I'm often surprised at ratings shows have. I've definitely seen a bunch that I didn't think the rating told what happened. It's tough when this is a guide we use.
I have been trying to decide if I want to cross the line and see this movie because it was literally filmed in our backyard when we lived in Arizona. It was really cool to see the movie set and to have our neighborhood transformed into an army barrack in the middle east (all street signs were suddenly in Arabic, for instance). Anyway...hmmm...
